Microsoft Office Specialist

Jorge Velez is passionate about computer training and committed to assisting students achieve their highest potential. He gets great satisfaction from helping his students to master the computer skills, enhance their performance, remove barriers to learning and achieve their training goals. He takes the time to fully explain procedures and his patience and easy-going style make computer-learning fun.

Jorge began his career as a Sales and Marketing Manager before discovering a love and enthusiasm for computer training in 2003. He is also a Microsoft Office Specialist at the Expert level and possesses the International Computer Driving License Syllabus Version 4 (ICDL) certification according to the international standard of competence for Canadian computer users. Jorge has worked as a computer instructor for many years and specializes in the Microsoft Office Suite. He taught at Fanshawe College (13 years), College Boreal (5 years), and the London Public Library (8 years). In addition, Jorge teaches Microsoft Office courses offered by the Spectrum program of the City of London since 2005.

Jorge founded Ezee Computer Training in April 2004. It is a small business located in London, Ontario, Canada.  For more than 16 years, Jorge has been offering Microsoft Office training on the most widely used applications. Besides the regular course levels, Jorge customizes course content to meet customer’s needs.  He creates PowerPoint presentations, handouts, and develops hands-on exercises for each program.

Jorge is committed to his own personal development and continuing education. His qualifications include: a bachelor’s degree of economics and a specialization in marketing.  He also graduated from the University of Guelph with a master in science in 2004. During the two-year program, he worked as a teaching assistant for both, the Information management course and research methods course.

Besides his post-secondary education, Jorge brushes up on all versions of Microsoft Office programs every so often to make sure he can provide the best instruction possible.  Most recently, Jorge wrote a book in 2016: Microsoft Excel 2016 Nice & Ezee: A Visual Step by Step Approach. The book exemplifies his innovative style of teaching and years of experience.
